- 1/4 tsp vanilla essence
Whisk until medium peak. Keep an eye on it – if you overwhip it, then it will separate.
Cook the bread:
Set pan to medium-high heat. Dip bread lightly in custard. Do not oversaturate. Cook until golden brown.
