December 6, 2006. Golan Heights, Israel. On December 6, 2006, the body of 13-year-old student, Tair Rada, was found bloodied and slumped in a bathroom stall at Nofey Golan High School in Golan Heights, Israel. Roman Zadorov, a 29-year-old immigrant from post-Soviet Moldova and custodian at the school confessed to the murder and was later convicted for Tair Rada’s murder and perverting the course of justice. Zadorov’s conviction came into question when a lack of physical evidence connecting him to the crime, doubts over his confession, and the reenactment of the murder were deemed to be contradictory.
